In Parenthesis is a New York based non-profit film and theater company producing adaptations of literary texts by contemporary Russian, French, Korean and American writers and international documentaries. The company for us is an umbrella in the main stream culture under which we research, experiment and offer an alternative; a parenthesis deeply and firmly embedded in the main text but structurally and definitely independent from it.
founded by Irina Patkanian, Marion Schoevaert and Kate Chumley in 1994.
